ECCR provides residential living for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in 14 fully equipped locations in Bergen and Passaic Counties. ECCR operates 10 community based group homes (Wyckoff, Midland Park, Allendale, Waldwick, Hawthorne, & North Haledon), 3 one-site lodges (Wyckoff) and 1 congregate care center (Wyckoff). We are headquartered in Wyckoff, NJ.
All of residents at ECCR are unique individuals with differing needs. Each resident has the opportunity to achieve personal growth and a meaningful life.
Our interdisciplinary professional team, along with the resident’s parents or guardians, create an individualized plan tailored to each resident’s needs. This plan focuses on all aspects of the resident’s development and life, including medical, social, vocational, educational, therapeutic, recreational and spiritual needs.
The ECCR staff works closely with each resident and their family to ensure that the families stay involved in all aspects of the residents lives creating a true partnership.
Special Needs Adult Day Program (RAVE)
The ECCR Special Needs Adult Day Program (RAVE) is open to individual with intellectual and developmental disabilities who are age 21 or older.
The Adult Day Program operates on a 3:1 staff to resident ratio. Staff members are trained in first aid, CPR, and medication distribution, additionally nurses are always on the premises. The Day Program meets on the Wyckoff campus in the Bushman Building, Monday – Friday between 9:00am – 3:00pm.
Respite Care is a temporary stay at ECCR, which gives parents or guardians the worry-free opportunity to take a vacation, undergo hospitalization or deal with a family crisis while knowing that their family member is being cared for by qualified professionals. The length of a respite stay is variable according to the individual’s needs.
ECCR is licensed by the State of NJ. We are contracted by the NJ Department of Children’s & Families and other state and county agencies to provide respite care for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
